Day 8 – Gratitude and Forgiveness
In order for us to feel love for ourselves there are certain things that need to happen alongside kindness
– The first would definitely have to be forgiveness. Without forgiveness, every step that we take is like taking two steps backward.
-Forgiveness frees us. From Negative emotions and negative energy.
-It is important to not only forgive those who we believe we have been wronged by but also to forgive ourselves.
-Infact forgiving our self is an absolute necessity if we are to love our self.
-Gratitude too is a necessary element of loving our self.
-And it is one of the most powerful emotions that can draw us out of our pain and negativity.
-By being grateful for a new imagined future we actually make our mind see this image and therefore help it move towards the energy of that image.
Exercise
Let us be conscious of our gratitude and make it a habit to start our day by being grateful for atleast 3 things. Let us also end our day by being grateful for something that happened on that particular day. For example, start your day with:
I am grateful for having woken up again today and having the gift of another day.
I am grateful for the life in my body – in my organs, limbs, mind and in every cell.
I am grateful that my body is in beautiful motion – able to move effortlessly.
I am grateful that i have a home and that I had slept in a warm bed.
And, perhaps you can end the day with something like:
I am grateful for……… today.
Or
I am grateful that ……..happened today.
